Fall Class Registration

Good morning, everyone!

For those of you who are beginning to think about what classes you'd like to take next semester, you'll want to know that the Fall 2011 class schedule will be available on SeaNet starting on April 11.

Prior to preregistration, all students visit academic advisors and receive special instructions and preregistration information. Students submit a course program at an appointed time through the self-service registration system in SeaNet. Students who complete preregistration and pay fees by the designated date are registered, except in the event that they are declared academically ineligible, at the end of the preceding semester.

If you have any questions, we suggest you visit the Registrar's Office in James Hall (next to Trask) between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Until next time...

Thursday's Thanks

Good morning, everyone!

This Thursday, we'd like to give a big Landing Thursday's Thanks to the Area Chapter of the Seahawk Landing!  The Area Chapter has worked hard to collect food for Mother Hubbard's Cuboard over the past several months by going door to door around the Landing.  The Area Chapter has also put on a number of great programs for our area.  This includes the roommate game that they put on last week and had a great turnout!

Thanks for volunteering for your positions and working hard for the residents of the Landing!  We look forward to what you'll bring to the area in the future...including Movie Night: Despicable Me at the Landing Pool on March 31!

Here's a big Thursday's Thanks to the Landing Area Chapter!

Seahawk Media Swap

Good morning, everyone!

I want to take this opportunity to make you aware of a program that will be happening here in the Landing next month that you may be interested in!  It's called the Seahawk Media Swap!

The premise behind the program is that you'll be able to turn in old CDs, DVDs, books, video games, etc. that you don't want any more.  Each one that you turn in will earn you one ticket.  Then, you'll be able to get a new CD, DVD, book or video game for each ticket earn- you'll swap your media!

This event is taking place on Wednesday, April 6 from 3-5 PM on the Landing Seal.  The RA staff will come around the buildings the week before to collect the media you want to swap and hand out the tickets.

So, as you're headed home for Spring Break or have a little down time from classes, consider going through your old things and decided what you'd like to swap for next month!

Until next time...

Thursday's Thanks

Good morning, everyone!

This week for our Thursday's Thanks, I'd like to share that this week is National Write a Letter of Appreciation Week.

This week, I also learned of a book titled, "365 Thank Yous"by John Kralik. Kralik wrote 365 thank yous in a one year's time. The book tells the story of the difference that was made in Kralik's life by saying thank you more often. (credit: http://www.houseofshine.com/)

Maybe you will consider checking out the book.  Or maybe you will decide to celebrate National Write a Letter of Appreciation Week by sending at least one note or letter of Thanks this Thursday!
