Local Hot Spots

Good morning, everyone!

This morning's post is all about a local hot spot here in Wilmington.  I hope you all have been to this location, but if not it is a must!  The post below was written by Landing RA Josh Harcus on his personal blog.

Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn has been a very beloved place for me. I have been here many times! The out side of the building has a far out slight resemblance of a barn. But along the walk inside the magic starts to happen. The edgy atmosphere of the place makes it become more than a burrito place. There is memorabilia all over the walls. Pictures and fun things to look at while you wait, because if you go during rush… you will wait. As you get closer and the murmurs of the crowd gets louder with anticipation you can see some parts of the menu written across the wall. The wall as many different sayings like “leave your attitude at the door” or “attitude free, good service costs extra”.
By the time you reach the cash register, the gate-keeper of ordering, there are about 7 or 8 choices of burritos that are lit up along the back wall. “Double bacon cheese burgitto” has to be my favorite. Very dangerous for the heart, arteries and such; but man is it delicious! The secret sauce that has been protected for centuries, also known as “thousand island”, this sauce brings the whole burrito together in perfect delicious harmony that excites and calms the taste buds at the same time.
There are many other choices that can entertain and satisfy any customer. Vegetarian, “tortilla-less”, meat-lovers, anything a little heart could desire. So next time you are wanting that fun, exciting experience head to Flamin’ Amy’s!

Until next time...
Katie
